Kolkata New Police Commissioner: विनीत कुमार गोयल (vineet kumar goyal) को पश्चिम बंगाल (west bengal) में एसटीएफ का एडीजी और आईजीपी नियुक्त किया गया है।1998 बैच के अधिकारी मनोज कुमार वर्मा (manoj kumar verma) अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक (ADG) के पद पर कार्यरत थे। इस पोस्ट पर उन्हें इस साल जनवरी में नियुक्त किया गया था। उन्होंने जावेद शमीम की जगह ली थी। उनको भी कोलकाता पुलिस (kolkata police) आयुक्त पद के लिए सबसे आगे देखा जा रहा था। शमीम को अब वर्मा की जगह मिल जाएगी।

After meeting a delegation of junior doctors, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Vineet Kumar Goyal, would be transferred at 4 pm on Tuesday. Accordingly, around 3.30 pm, the state government announced that Manoj Kumar Verma, known to be a “crisis manager”, would be the new CP.

Meanwhile, Goyal was made Additional Director General (ADG) and IGP of the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal.

Deputy Commissioner (North) of Kolkata Police Abhishek Gupta was also removed from his post and transferred to the second battalion of EFR. Deputy Commissioner (East) of Siliguri Police Commissionerate Dipak Sarkar was given the charge of DC (North) of Kolkata Police.

In the meeting between the CM and the junior doctors, it was also decided that Director of Medical Education Kaustav Nayak and Director of Health Services Debashish Haldar would be “removed”. Nayak has now been posted as Director of Institute of Health and Family Welfare, and Halder was posted as OSD of Public Health.
