सीपीआई (एम) के महासचिव सीताराम येचुरी (sitaram yechury) का निधन हो गया है…वह पिछले कई दिनों से दिल्ली स्थित AIIMS अस्पताल में भर्ती थी… प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, AIIMS में 72 साल के सीताराम येचुरी (sitaram yechury) का तीव्र श्वसन पथ संक्रमण का इलाज चल रहा था… पिछले कई दिनों से वह रेस्पिरेट्री सपोर्ट पर थे…सीताराम येचुरी (sitaram yechury) को प्रकाश करात (prakash karat) के बाद साल 2015 में सीपीएम (cpm) का जनरल सेक्रेटरी बनाया गया था…
on Thursday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where he was admitted on August 19 with pneumonia. He was 72.
According to CPI(M) leaders, Yechury was in the intensive care unit (ICU) and was being treated for an acute respiratory tract infection. Over the past few days, he had been on respiratory support and under treatment by a multidisciplinary team of doctors with his condition reported to be critical.
He is survived by his wife Seema Chishti, editor of The Wire, daughter Akhila and son Danish.
His family has donated his body to AIIMS, New Delhi for teaching and research purposes. His body will be handed over to the hospital on Saturday.
