Manipur CRPF jawan Opens Fire: हवलदार संजय कुमार ने अपनी बंदूक से गोली चलाई, जिससे एक कांस्टेबल और एक सब-इंस्पेक्टर की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। बाद में उसने खुद पर भी गोली चला ली और डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। इस घटना में आठ अन्य जवान घायल हुए हैं। सभी को इंफाल के रीजनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज (RIMS) में एडमिट कराया गया है। यह सनसनीखेज घटना केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (CRPF) के एक कैंप में गुरुवार रात को लगभग 8 बजे हुई। मणिपुर के मुख्यमंत्री पद से एन बीरेन सिंह के इस्तीफा देने के कुछ दिनों बाद केंद्र सरकार ने 13 फरवरी को राज्य में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू कर दिया। मणिपुर में मई 2023 से मैतेई और कुकी-जो समुदायों के बीच जातीय संघर्ष चल रहा है। इसमें 200 से ज्यादा लोगों की जान चली गई है।
Havildar Sanjay Kumar opened fire with his rifle, killing a constable and a sub-inspector on the spot. Later, he shot himself, and doctors declared him dead. Eight other personnel were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal.
This shocking incident took place at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp on Thursday night around 8 PM.
A few days after Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh resigned, the central government imposed President’s Rule in the state on February 13. Manipur has been witnessing ethnic violence between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities since May 2023, leading to the deaths of over 200 people so far.
