Waqf Bill: जेपीसी ने विपक्षी नेताओं की आपत्तियों को रद्द कर दिया है। यह समिति अब सोमवार को विधेयक पर विस्तार से विचार करेगी। बैठक में विपक्षी दलों ने जमकर हंगामा किया। इसके कारण बैठक को कुछ देर के लिए स्थगित भी करना पड़ा। कुछ देर बाद जब बैठक शुरू हुई तो मीरवाइज के नेतृत्व वाला प्रतिनिधिमंडल समिति के समक्ष पेश हुआ। तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सदस्य कल्याण बनर्जी और कांग्रेस के सैयद नासिर हुसैन बैठक से बाहर निकल आए। उन्होंने मीडियाकर्मियों से कहा कि समिति की कार्यवाही तमाशा बन गई है। उन्होंने मांग की कि प्रस्तावित संशोधनों पर खंडवार विचार करने के लिए 27 जनवरी को होने वाली बैठक को 30 जनवरी या 31 जनवरी तक के लिए टाल दिया जाए।
The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) has dismissed the objections raised by opposition leaders. The committee will now discuss the bill in detail on Monday. During the meeting, opposition parties created a ruckus, leading to the session being temporarily adjourned.
After a brief suspension, the meeting resumed, and a delegation led by Mirwaiz appeared before the committee. Trinamool Congress member Kalyan Banerjee and Congress leader Syed Nasir Hussain walked out of the meeting. Speaking to the media, they claimed that the committee’s proceedings had turned into a spectacle.
They also demanded that the upcoming meeting on January 27 to deliberate on the proposed amendments be postponed to either January 30 or 31.
