Jalgaon Hadsa: पुष्पक एक्सप्रेस लखनऊ से मुंबई जा रही थी। वह पूरी स्पीड में थी। बुधवार को शाम 4 बजकर 42 मिनट हो रहे थे, उस समय ट्रेन मुंबई से करीब 425 किमी पहले जलगांव के पचोरा रेलवे स्टेशन के पास ही पहुंची थी। उसी समय यह अफवाह फैल गई कि ट्रेन की बोगी नंबर-4 में धुआं उठ रहा है यानी कि आग लग गई है।
At least 12 people were killed in a freak accident after they jumped off a train in panic amid rumours of a fire in a coach, and were mowed down by an express train running on the adjacent track in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra on Wednesday, officials said.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the state government is closely monitoring the situation and providing all necessary assistance. In a post on the social media platform X, Fadnavis wrote:
“The unfortunate incident near Pachora in Jalgaon district, where some lives were lost, is very tragic. I pay my heartfelt tributes to them. My colleague, Minister Girish Mahajan, and the Superintendent of Police have reached the spot, and the District Collector will also be arriving shortly. The entire district administration is working in coordination with the railway administration, and immediate arrangements are being made for the treatment of the injured. Eight ambulances have been dispatched. Both the General Hospital and nearby private hospitals have been prepared to treat the injured. Emergency equipment such as glass cutters, floodlights, etc., has also been kept ready. We are keeping a close watch on the entire situation, and all necessary assistance is being provided without delay. I am in constant contact with the district administration.”
