On Thursday morning, a Mahindra car heading towards the Ganga for a holy dip collided with a divider near the Dharupur underpass on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway due to dense fog. Three people in the car were injured, and the vehicle was severely damaged.
Recently, several other accidents have also occurred on this highway. On Monday morning, in the Chandpur Hardoi village area under Bikapur police jurisdiction, a car collided with a truck, resulting in the death of two people and injuries to four others.
Additionally, frequent road accidents have been reported near the Khajurhat intersection due to encroachments along the highway. In a recent incident, two youths lost their lives, and four others were injured.
These incidents highlight the growing number of accidents on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway caused by fog, encroachments, and traffic violations. Both the administration and travelers need to remain vigilant to ensure safe travel.
